Often the mortgage you take out with a Lender will be for an initial deal period (for example a 2 year fixed rate). In most cases when you reach the end of the initial deal period your mortgage reverts to the Standard Variable Rate (SVR) of your chosen lender which is often a significantly higher rate.

 

At this point we advise that you review your mortgage arrangements to see if there is a more competitive alternative mortgage product on the market.

 

On the expiration of your initial rate your existing lender will usually offer you another product to move on to, however Vista Mortgages offer advice based on the whole of market whereas your existing lenders only offer their specific products.

WHAT DO WE DO

Remortgage Process

FACTFINDan initial meeting (face-to-face, Skype or telephone). Our adviser will fully assess your current situation and future plans to build a picture of what you are looking to do. The adviser will explain the remortgage process and answer any related questions you may have.

 

 

SOURCING - based on the information gathered at the factfind meeting our adviser will source your mortgage based on whole of market advice. Our adviser will recomend a mortgage that fits with the preferences and and information given during the factfind.

 

PRESENTATION/APPLICATION - the adviser will present back his findings and recommend the most appropriate mortgage product based on the information given at the factfind. If you are happy to proceed based on the advice, the adviser can apply direct to the lender packaging up the mortgage and dealing directly with the lender on your behalf

 

POST APPLICATION SERVICE – Our adviser will regularly contact your recommended mortgage lender providing them with all required paper work and supporting documentation. We give regular updates on how the application is progressing and deal with any queries you have. With your permission we can also liaise with your solicitors to help progress the re-mortgage.

HOW MUCH DOES OUR SERVICE COST?
 

There is NO FEE for our mortgage advice. It is a completely ‘FEE-FREE’ service. Vista Mortgages earns commission directly from the mortgage lender which will be clearly highlighted in the mortgage quote shown on a Key Facts Illustration Plus (KFI+) or European Standardised Information Sheet (ESIS) document presented when making an application. A fee may be charged by the Lending institution providing the mortgage in the form of a booking fee or arrangement fee, which would be paid directly to them and detailed prior to an application.

 

When selecting which mortgage company to use we recommend that you check what fees the company charge. Some of our competitors charge a variety of fees including broker fees, arrangement fees or application fees. These fees can often be as high as 1% of your mortgage amount which would be £1,000 on a £100,000 mortgage loan. We do not charge a fee for our advice.
